Tour Detail:
Day 01 – GUWAHATI – SHILLONG, MEGHALAYA
Arrival at Guwahati Airport and drive to Shillong (130 kms/03 ½ hrs). En-route if you want you can visit Umium Lake. On arrival check-in at the hotel in Shillong. Later option to visit Mawphlang Sacred Forest for a nature walk followed by the visit to the local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 – SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG, MEGHALAYA
Today after breakfast take a day excursion to Cherrapunjee (55 kms/01 ½ hrs). Enroute visit Elephant Falls. At Cherrapunjee explore the Arwah Lumshynna Cave, Nohkalikai Falls, and Nohsngithiang Falls. Evening drive back to Shillong. overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 – SHILLONG – BALIPARA, TEZPUR ASSAM
Today post breakfast drive to Balipara, Tezpur (260 kms/07 hrs). On arrival check-in Hotel. In the evening explore Tezpur and visit Mahabhairab Temple, Brahmaputra River Bank. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 – BALIPARA – DIRANG, ARUNACHAL PRADESH
Today after breakfast drive to Dirang (200 km/ 07 hrs)-the sub-divisional headquarters of West Kameng district situated (4900 ft) between Bomdila and Tawang. Steeped in scenic beauty, this town is situated in the valley of river Kameng. This place is inhabited by the Monpa tribe. On arrival check-in at the hotel in Dirang. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 – DIRANG – TAWANG, ARUNACHAL PRADESH
Today, drive to Tawang(145 km / 07 hrs) via Sela pass. This famous pass is 13,700 ft and is snowbound most of the year. You will pass by a small lake called Paradise Lake and Sela Temple at Sela Pass (13700 ft) and from here it is downhill to Tawangchu River via Jaswantgarh (a memorial for the 1962 war hero). En-route visit Nuranang waterfall. Tawang township (alt 10,000 ft) is situated on the north bank of this river. On arrival check-in at the hotel in Tawang. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 – TAWANG, ARUNACHAL PRADESH
The day is for the sightseeing of Tawang, visiting Tawang Monastery (400 yrs old with 500 resident monks and center of Mahayana Buddhism), Twang Memorial, Ani Gompa, Craft Emporium, etc. Overnight at Tawang.
DAY 07 – TAWANG – BOMDILA, ARUNACHAL PRADESH
Today morning, we drive to Bomdila (190 km/ 08 hrs). On arrival check-in at the hotel in Bomdila. Later in the evening visit a Buddhist Monastery at Bomdila. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 08 – BOMDILA – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK, ASSAM
After an early breakfast we drive to Kaziranga National Park (270 km/08 hrs) and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Note: Kaziranga National Park remains open from 1st Nov to mid May.
Day 09 – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK, ASSAM
Enjoy the morning and afternoon game drive inside the Kaziranga national park. Explore the grasslands and dense forest of the national park on open-top exclusive jeeps. In the evening drive back to the hotel and overnight.
Day 10 – KAZIRANGA – GUWAHATI, ASSAM
Today post breakfast drive to Guwahati (220 kms/04 ½ hrs). On arrival check-in at the hotel in Guwahati. In the evening enjoy a sunset cruise on Alfresco Grand on the mighty Brahmaputra River. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 – GUWAHATI – FLY OUT
Today post breakfast sightseeing of Kamakhya Temple followed by a visit to Umananda Temple – situated on the world’s smallest inhabited river island known as the Peacock Island.
Later in time transfer to Guwahati Airport to board flight for onward destination.
