Tour Detail:

Day 01 Arrival Colombo

Arrival Colombo, meeting at the airport, and transfer to the hotel.  Walk around the city center to get glimpses of the capital city of Srilanka.

Day 02 Colombo /Habarana

After breakfast drive to Habarana. En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to house abandoned and wounded elephants. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 : –   ­ Habarana / Polonnaruwa / Medirigiriya / Habarana

After breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to visit the historical site of  Polonnaruwa, the second historic capital of the island.  {Nearly 46 km – Nearly 1h15 of drive} Then proceed to Medirigiriya.  { Nearly 30 km – Nearly 1h00 of drive} Between the first two historical capitals Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura, the sacred site known for its Medirigiriya Mandalagiri Vihara Dagoba a (circular temple) built on a rock; 68 3 concentric rows of pillars rising towards the sky, all carved their ends. return to the hotel. Overnight stay at  Habarana.

Day 04: –  ­ Habarana / Aukana / Dambulla / Habarana

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to visit Aukana to see the statue of Aukana.  {Nearly 45 km – Nearly 1h10 of drive} then Proceed to Dambulla to visit the cave temple of Dambulla. {Nearly 40 km – Nearly 1h00 of drive} Return to your hotel. Overnight stay at  Habarana. 

Day 05 : –   ­ Habarana / Sigiriya / Matale / Nalanda / Kandy 

After breakfast at the hotel. Early drive to climb Sigiriya, the Rock Fortress. {Nearly 11 km – Nearly 30 minutes of drive} Then proceed to Kandy.  En route, visit the spice garden in Matale, followed by the visit of Nalanda Gedige.  {Nearly 65 km – Nearly 2h00 of drive} Proceed to Kandy. {Nearly 30 km – Nearly 1h15 of drive} upon arrival check-in at the hotel  Overnight stay at Kandy.

Day 06 : –  ­ Kandy / Peradeniya / Pinnawela / Kandy

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the visit to the botanical garden of Peradeniya. Then drive to Pinnawala and visit the Elephant Orphanage. { Nearly 45 km – Nearly 1h30 of drive} Return to Kandy, and thereafter, visit the temple of Kandy. Overnight stay at Kandy.

Day 07 : –  ­ Kandy / Gampola / Nurwara eliya

After breakfast at the hotel. The train ride to Gampola from Kandy, you will take the morning train, around 8.30 am and will travel in second class. Arrival at Gampola Station, then take the road to Nuwara Eliya. { Nearly 65 km – Nearly 2h00 of drive} Visit tea plantations and a factory. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. 

Overnight stay at  Nuwara Eliya.

Day 08 Nuwara eliya

Early morning enjoy a nature walk at Horton plains, world’s End, and trek up to Bakers falls with packed breakfast. Horton Plains the highest plateau at 7000ft (2134 meters) is a National Park. This beautiful scenery, are not found anywhere else in the country. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 Nuwar eliya / Bergala

After breakfast drive to Beragala enjoying the very scenic countryside. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening free to relax. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Bergala / Yala National park

After breakfast drive  to Priyankara upon arrival check in at hotel.

Day 11  Yala National park

Early morning jeep visit to the Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan Elephants and aquatic birds. Return to the hotel and enjoy breakfast and relax till evening. Evening visit Kataragama’s sacred city to witness the evening ceremony.

Day 12  Yala National park /Hikkaduwa

After breakfast drive to Hikkaduwa visiting Turtle hatchery at Matale. Late afternoon relax on the beach.

Day 13 Hikkaduwa

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Galle, the fortified city built by Europeans. The Galle Fort is a world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. Other prominent landmarks in Galle include the natural harbor, the National Maritime Museum, St. Mary’s Cathedral founded by Jesuit priests, one of the main Shiva temples on the island. Return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 14  Hikkaduwa/Colombo Departure

After breakfast drive to the Colombo airport for  onward flight.
