Tour Detail:

DAY 1 – Arrival Delhi

Arrive in Delhi at the airport and check-in at your hotel. The entire day is at leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

DAY 2 – Delhi

Today, proceed on a full-day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi visiting the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. Overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

day 3  – Delhi / Chandigarh  (240 kms – 5 hrs)

Today, drive to Chandigarh. You will check-in at the hotel and thereafter continue for the sightseeing tour of Chandigarh city visiting Rose garden, Rock garden, and other Architectural sites.

DAY 4 – Chanidgarh / Manali (280 Kms – 7 HRS)

Early morning drive towards Manali  (2500m) a gateway to Moonland.  Upon arrival check-in at the hotel

DAY 5 – Manali

Morning leave for sightseeing of Naggar Castle, Roerich gallery, Hidimba temple, Vashisht temple.

DAY 6 – Manali / Jispa – (150 kms – 7 hrs)

Drive Manali (2500 m) / Jispa (3142 m) en-route visiting Rohtang pass (4892 m) & Keylong. upon arrival in Jispa, check-in Hotel.

DAY 7 – Jispa/Sarchu- (95 kms-5 hrs)

The morning after breakfast Drive to Sarchu (4253 m) via Baralacha pass (4892 m).  Arrive and check-in at fixed camping. Sarchu is inhabited by Himalayan clan gaddi and few lonely soldiers at an army outpost.  It is also the actual border between Lahaul and Zanskar.

DAY 8            Sarchu / Leh (233 kms/8-9 hrs)

The morning after breakfast drive to Leh (3500 m) via Tanglangla (5360 m) – the second highest pass in the world with metalled road and Lachulangla (5065 m). check-in hotel

DAY 9            Leh

Today proceed for full day sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis monasteries

DAY 10  Leh

Today, you will proceed for a half-day excursion to Shankar, Spituk & Phyang monasteries

DAY 11 Leh – Likir (Jeep 2 hrs approx)  & Likir – Yangtang (trek,  3 – 4 hours approx)

After breakfast drive to Likir by jeep (2 hrs approx). visit Likir Gompa.  Later proceed to Likir village from the monastery and after leaving behind the last houses enter in arid terrain, start ascending towards a  small pass pobela,  arrive at sumdo village,  cross the river and leaving sumdo on the right side, continue in the valley for about an hour and finally reach the summit of the charatse-la.  it is only half an hour to yangtang from charatse-la summit.  dinner and overnight in tented camp.

DAY 12   Yangtang – Resong – Yangtang (trek /  5 hrs approx)

After breakfast trek to visit the Resong monastery with box lunch, about two and a half hours trekking (each way). return to yangtang for dinner and overnight in tented camp.

DAY 13 Yangtang – Ang (trek / 4 – 5 hours approx)

Proceed to wulle valley, very close 15 minutes only, then ascent for about  1  hour to sermanchan-la and then descent towards   Himis Shukpachan,  a big village.  Here (shukpa) cedar is found in plenty, hence the name of the village.  there is beautiful gompa.   after crossing the village, there is flat land, then steep descent,  follow right side, climb a steep slope to the summit of the meptek-la.  It is a 2 hours hike from Hemis-Shukpachan.  descent for about half an hour and you are in Ang village.  camp near the river.  a path leads to the north towards Shyok valley. overnight in tented camp.

DAY 14   Ang – Khalse (trek / 5 – 6 hours approx)  & Khalse – Lamayuru – Uleytokpo (jeep / 3.5 hrs approx)

After breakfast proceed for next half an hour which will take you up to  Themisgang village. It is the richest valley in Ladakh.  apricots, apples, nuts are in plenty,  houses are beautiful.  a motorable road links Themisgang with nurla.  now you are in tea village, with the beautiful gompa, the path leads through fields and houses.  Above tea is a monastery called katza monastery,  (a path leads to shyok via  largiab-la from tea).  climb bongbong-la (about one hour from themisgang). from here descending a long gentle slope. Arrive at barren landscape than to the national highway, where you will be met by jeeps. proceed to Lamayuru. Visit the monastery and Return drive to Uleytokpo. dinner and overnight in deluxe tented camp.

DAY 15          Uleytokpo – Leh

After breakfast visit Alchi gompa. Return to Uleytokpo for lunch. Later retrace the route to Leh,. overnight in the hotel.

DAY 16          Leh / Delhi

Transfer to airport fly Leh/Delhi. Meet upon arrival and transfer to hotel

DAY 17          Delhi Out

Room till 1200 hrs. Transfer to airport to connect flight back home
